The single most abusive, intrusive governmental institution in America is the income tax, and IRS. They demand that you report virtually every aspect of your personal business, without any probable cause, let alone a warrent. They can take you to court, and demand that you prove your innocence, or you are considered guilty. They can seize your assets, before your trial, making it impossible to obtain good counsel. And yet the one candidate who was serious about eliminating it is constantly labeled a “statist”. I don't get it.

He’s outspokenly 100% pro-life , pro-military, and wants to close down the IRS. What else do people want? I can overlook the other stuff with those strong points going for him. Those three things alone could change our country almost miraculously for the better.

I'm still waiting to hear how he plans to repeal the 16th amendment while simultaneously ushering in a completely new and different tax system without 1) causing chaos, 2) ending up with a sales and income tax.
I'm not saying it's completely impossible. I'm saying that if he's serious about what he says, he needs to address these extremely difficult questions. He talks as if he can just wave his hand and poof!, goodbye IRS. I always saw his Fair Tax talk as pure pandering, no substance.
