I 'cured' my diverticulitis by eating a health shake (two tablespoons of smoothe peanut butter, 1/4 cup of raw minute oats, one banana, twelve ounces of skim milk, four to six ice cubes, blended/processed to creamy consistency) for breakfast, and plenty of medium hot salsa (made fresh, with no seeds from peppers or tomatoes --use Romas) and corn chips for supper. Took one week exactly. The beer with the salsa and chips might have helped, but I don't know for sure. I also had a baked potato every other night, with green peas and 'biscuit gravy', and a sprinkle of extra sharp cheddar cheese on top. ...

Bet you thought I was kidding! Wanna hear how I cured my psoriasis of the finger nails?

I would have thought that the corn chips wouldn’t be so great for diverticulitis since they’re not that easy to digest, and that the salsa would be irritating. But what do I know? Hey, whatever works, I guess!
