So how much sickness does God want us to have. I claimed that God's will was for us to be in 100% perfect health and you said that was ridiculous.

Wonder why so many are born deformed, crippled, etc? Was it they that sinned or their parents?

God gives everyone certain trials and handicaps and stumblingblocks.

None of us gets out of life unscathed.

But we are strengthened knowing the truth of Romans 8:28...

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

The alternative is for us to think we go through life either as victims of chance and happenstance, or objects of an indifferent and impotent god. That way of living doesn't display a strong trust in God.
