I see you don't read with precision either. You said "perfectly". Please explain why Paul said to put on amour to shield us against darts and other nasty assorted dangers from the enemy if we are protected perfectly. DON'T DODGE!@ Plus please explain to anyone why so many Christians do have battle wounds and scars. Just rattling off some vague verses IS NOT CUTTING IT.
:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
no where, does it say either the leaders or the followers were saved. It says they had knowledge of the truth and forsook it
That's ridiculous. No one has "perfect health."
Are you a Christian Scientist who thinks you make your own health? Or does God give us everything we have?
"For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?" -- 1 Corinthians 4:7
That verse does not say they were saved. Scripture does not contradict itself.
ok, well I have perfect health for an old guy, lol
Oh boy... So you too might as well explain why Paul admonished us to put on the whole amour of God so that we could stand against the enemy. Was Paul a nut job? He's telling us to do something we have no need to do? Paul was "buffeted" by the enemy. Or was he making that up? Too bad you were not there to tell him it's was all in his head and impossible.
Of course we do battle on this earth. The earth isn't heaven. There are temptations from all sides.
But with "the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph. 6:17) we persevere, knowing we are His and He will never forsake us.
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." -- 1 Corinthians 10:13
I suggest you read some more of those "vague verses." They "cut it" just fine.
AMEN. No man is without excuse and lots of men have knowledge of the truth. That doesn't mean they understand and believe the truth. Satan knows God is God; he just refuses to worship Him.
Once again a major logical thinking flaw (which is just so rampant here). With you, just because no one can "do it", somehow proves it's not God's will. God wants all of us to not sin. Are you going to say that is "ridiculous", just because "no one" can do it?
So, why don't you just state for the record, how much sickness God wants each of us to have?
LOL. I saw that. You’re the exception. 8~)
You said “perfectly”. You were wrong. Show some humility and admit.
The bible is a "pillar of light" to go before us in the daytime and a "pillar of fire" to guide us by night. By reading the word, preaching the word, and believing the Word, we have God himself leading us, just as the ancient Israelites did. "The enemy" is the flesh, our own lusts and desires, all kinds of things. We need guidance to get through life, and God has graciously provided it to us. God Himself will test us and knowing His law and His Son is our salvation.
It is the correct understanding that Christ has paid for our sins on the cross. An understanding given by God to whom He will when He will for His own perfect glory.
Sorry, that is just flat out incorrect.
"after they have escaped the defilements of the world" means just that. Or would you care to explain how they could "escaped the defilements of the world" without being saved. This one I'm waiting to hear, it should be a doozy...
"they are again entangled therein".
You think demonic possession is a sign or a wonder?
That is true but that WAS NOT what was being disputed. I never said all of our troubles come from Satan so why you go on and on here about that is a real mystery...??
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome , the latter end is worse with them than the beginning
They understood through the knowledge of Christ to do better than they had previously, but they forsook that knowledge
. As 1 John 2:19 says
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us
You’re the one that says Christians are all beat up and battle-scarred from fighting Satan, and needs armour.
Codex big pharma bullmess...next!
The scriptures also says that God cannot be faithless. These aren't limitations that God has placed upon Himself. Instead this is the perfection of His character. It never occurs to God to lie just as it never occurs to Him to be faithless.
