Smug, you’re missing an important point. Child abuse or not, polygamy is ILLEGAL. What part of “illegal” do you not understand?But for the record, after seeing that interview, I think the reports are pretty close to the truth.

Without Child abuse then what would be the reason for taking the children? Most polygamist do not break the law, they are married legally to only one wife the others are ceremonies that have no legal standing to them. If a married man and his wife invited a second woman into their bed no laws have been broken. although that is not what poly's do.Polygamy is practiced in every state in America and by people other than Mormon's. Many Baptist poly's have moved to Utah because they are for the most part ignored there, As long as they don't flaunt it or have 2nd wives getting government aid for their children and themselves.

If these interviewee's were Amish acting the same way would you believe their guilt. The interviews exposed no evidence what so ever, other than they were admittedly practicing poly's
