Hey, Obama boys: Back off already !

Young women are growing increasingly frustrated with the fanatical support of Barack and gleeful bashing of Hillary.

Dana Lossia, a 29-year-old labor lawyer in Brooklyn, describes herself as a "pretty big Obama supporter. " She worked for a year at Michelle Obama's Public Allies Chicago, where she met Barack a few times.

She called him "the most inspiring, amazing person, a different kind of politician." Of Hillary Clinton, whom Lossia supported in her Senate runs, Lossia said, "I just think she's acted badly during this campaign."

And yet, as Lossia wrote in a recent e-mail, "I've been really bothered by what I perceive as sexism [among some male Obama supporters] and have spent hours defending [Clinton] ... A lot of guys just can't stand Hillary, and it's the intensity of their irritation with her that disturbs me more than their devotion to Obama."

This riveting Democratic primary campaign has provided us with its own stock characters: There are the young "Daily Show"-watching Obama-maniacs getting over their irony addiction by falling earnestly in love with the senator from Illinois.

There are the pissed-off second-wave feminists, uptight and out of touch, howling as their dream of seeing a woman in the Oval Office fades. And then there are the young women caught between them.

these cool young customers have embodied their elders' worst nightmare of a generation that takes feminism's victories for granted by throwing over Hillary Clinton for her challenger faster than you can say "I've got a crush on Obama."

the admitted cool factor that among educated liberal voters, the assumption is that you're for Obama, that he is the more "progressive" choice.

Obama loyalty, like white masculinity itself, has become normative -– if you're not for him, you'd best be prepared to explain your deviation.

She called him “the most inspiring, amazing person, a different kind of politician.”

Why is it that Dimocrats/Liberals are always looking for someone to save them? Roosevelt, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, whomever.

Talk about codependent, emotionally-and-psychologically-deficient people. They are to be pitied.

“a different kind of politician”

He’s “different” in more ways than one.

He’s the first metro-sexual politician to run for President. (maybe some other ‘kinds’ of ‘sexual’ also: we shall see)

He’s the most un-American politician to ever run for President.

He has the least substance of any politician to have ever run for Preident.

He is a politician who has atracted the most empty-headedand, cluless, blind followers — in the whole history of our country.

There’s more to support what — “a different kind of politician” — Obama truly is but, unfortunatly, bandwith does not permit!

My disappointment over this brain-washing is overwhelming at times.

Yep. There's a possible upside, though. With that kind of idol worship on both sides, it means there will be two warring camps in Denver.

It will be the She-a vs. the Shiite-for-brains!

Good grief, don't they ever get tired of race and gender?

Oh boy, I forgot to list the most obvious!

LOL!

I was just about to post this same article and for once “search” worked.

Browsing the comments here I think few actually read the piece as most are missing the point entirely. Their loss, this article is quite revealing as to the corner the dem party of 1968-2008 has painted itself.

If Arkancide touches senator Osama the constitution will be in jeopardy.
If the beast wins the election the third world war will get hot.
If McQueeg gets in the commies have won the supreme court members
will be replaced.
If Osama makes it your money will become worthless inside of three years.
Don't forget any criticism of a minority is hate speech.IMO

And even while they voice dismay over the retro tone of the pro-Clinton feminist whine, a growing number of young women are struggling to describe a gut conviction that there is something dark and funky, and probably not so female-friendly, running below the frantic fanaticism of their Obama-loving compatriots.

These chicks haven't a clue. The warhorse (pro-Hill) feminists know exactly what the game plan is. And so do the pro-Obama femme warhorses. It's those on the "fringe" (read: the outer circle/not in the inner circle) who have no idea how they are being played as useful "voters".

Young people are voting for Obama

And because their literacy, experience, and intelligence levels are on a par with Obama's "show".

Last year some time I read stuff re how to repackage "Rock the Vote". Rock the vote=Obama's campaign.

The whole Gore/Carter gonna "shake their fingers in Hill's face"? roflmao. Sure, for the cameras. In camera, only.

Dems in CA every few years re-raise lowering the age of voting. So that Dems can play at the BO game of getting elected or re-elected. Hill has the older more seasoned voters, BO, the younger, the hip. Two prongs of a strategy.

In San Francisco, BO's undergarment comments were ALLOWED/PERMITTED to be "heard". While what he said was noxious, the purpose was quite clear. BO's "traveling campaign show". And that he too appeals to the older (seasoned) voter among his "pals" -- the same pals as Hill's.

Likewise and simultaneously, there's Hillary in photo op in a bar going next for the JELL-O shots. She "too" appeals to young voters when caught in a "candid" moment.

The traveling carpetbagging show goes on.

Will the blogger who "outted" BO be evermore known as the blogger who stuck his finger in a dike and saved the town?

Outside the very wealthy, all and each of us are seen by the Dems as Pennsylvania Rural "bitterness".

The test case was successful in Jena, LA.

Eyedigress,

Don’t be too hard on the koolaid drinker. We were all young and full of high minded ideas once. When you’re head is in the high clouds of academia, your eyes tend to get clouded to reality. I’m not ashamed to admit that I thought Lyndon Laruouche was a savior of all that is good at one time. Fortunately for me, as I matured in my thinking I got to hear the speeches and read the writings of Ronald Reagan.

Winston Churchill once said show me a young man who is a conservative and I’ll show you someone with no heart. Show me an old man who is a liberal and I’ll show you someone with no head. Worry about the ones who should know better that support this elitest snob.

"Nothing different at all. Standard issue elitist uber-liberal cut from the same cloth as sKerry. In fact, it's sure starting to feel like 2004. The condescension is the same, complete with a wife that says stupid things."

All we need now is for Obama to go into a Gander Mountain and ask the desk clerk, "Can I get me a hunting license here?" or to go windsurfing and that should put the capper on it.

Just for the record to the rest of the nation. Theresa Heinz Kerry is not from Pennsylvania, I repeat not from Pennsylvania. She's a leftist from Tanzania or Rhodesia or whatever they called it at that time. She's from some snobby European family that has no connection to Pennsylvania.

Like I’ve said before, if Obama looked and sounded like Dennis Koochnik (as my wife calls him), he’d still be a state legislator or ward heeler. If the female Obamaniacs were honest they’d admit they like him simply because of sex appeal. For the males it’s because he’s “cool”. For many other leftists it’s because, well, Obama is the farthest left candidate since McGovern.

No it's not..it's the ignorance. Ignorance is not an elite trait....last time I checked.

I respectfully disagree. Ignorance is the wellspring from which most condescension truly flows.
