"Greed" doesn't cause recessions. More often than not, failed governmental policies -- e.g., monetary, regulatory, fiscal, etc. -- are to blame for an economic setback. In this case, the blame lies with poor money management by the Fed -- under both Greenspan and Bernanke -- and the effects of federal rules on subprime mortgage lending -- notably, the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act.

I was hoping things would get better when W retires. It doesn’t look like it.

Yes, the seeds for all these bad loans were planted some time ago. The government goal was home ownership above fiscal responsibility. Without fiscal responsibility it obviously wasn’t sustainable.

We will be missing W for years to come. He has been right a whole lot more than he is wrong.

McCain is in need of a mirror, for it is he and the rest of the useless idiots that occupy our government offices who carry a great deal of the blame. From poor spending habits to giving money away at the discount window to catering to the braindead tree-hugging globull warmists to the complete disregard for enforcing time-tested proper lending practices.

McCain? He's never held a private sector job a single day in his life. He's just as elitist as the Dems.

McCain will be elected by democrats. It'll have to be democRATS because a great number of Republicans are actually conservative and thus can't vote for the latest rendition of the Republican socialist.
