12 reasons 'bitter' is bad for Obama

Mike Allen 44 minutes ago

The possibility of a Clinton comeback was looking far-fetched. But operatives in both parties were buzzing about that possibility Saturday following the revelation that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told wealthy San Franciscans that small-town Pennsylvanians and Midwesterners “cling to guns or religion” because they are “bitter” about their economic status.

Obama at first dug in on that contention Friday after audio of the private fundraiser was posted by The Huffington Post. Altering course, on Saturday in Muncie, Ind., he conceded that he “didn’t say it as well as I should have.” And he told the Winston-Salem, N.C., Journal that “obviously, if I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that. ... The underlying truth of what I said remains, which is simply that people who have seen their way of life upended because of economic distress are frustrated and rightfully so."

Here is what he said April 6, referring to people living in areas hit by job losses: “[I]t’s not surprising, then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

The Obama campaign contends that coverage of the San Francisco remarks is overheated and distorted. One aide said that “any logical analysis” would make it obvious that the brouhaha will not “change the pledged delegate count” — the key to the Democratic presidential nomination.

In fact, this is a potential turning point for Obama’s campaign — an episode that could be even more damaging than the attention to remarks by his minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, since this time the controversial words came out of his own mouth.

Religion (and guns and xenophonia)—the opiate of the masses (in the Rust Belt).

You forgot A Prairie Home Companion.

4. Some people cling to religion not because they are bitter but because they believe it, and because faith in God gives them purpose and comfort.

Ouch. This applies to O'bama himself, and his Wright Wing. (Is he clinging to his religion because he's bitter? Looks like it).

It was on politico. I don’t know if Yahoo or Politico got it first. Politico likes to stir things up.

When Hillary is out, the MSM will start to run interference and ignore or spin Obama’s revealing comments. It’s getting more and more obvious that he is an exponent of Rev. Wright’s hate, and it will require the full force of the MSM’s power to distort and obfuscate it.

Just what has Obama accomplished in life with his privileged education other than elected office and an activist for several radical groups?

What knowhow does he bring to the table other than being able to manipulate the liberal white mans system to his benefit,

His remarks about Midwesterners being bitter gun nuts, religious cooks and racists whiteys comes straight out of the mouth of Reverend Wright and his Black Liberation Theology.

Obama reminds us of another closet racists New York City Councilman Charles Barron.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/735202/posts?page=87

Barron who said “I want to go up to the closest white person and say, ‘You can't understand this, it's a black thing,’ and then slap him, just for my mental health,” Barron announced as 2,000 to 3,000 reparations supporters looked on.
As the New York official uttered his incendiary remarks, vendors from the New Black Panther Party, which provided security for the event, hawked T-Shirts that read “Kill Whitey” and “How did we get to America? Heartless Christian Buyer, Ruthless Jewish seller,” the Washington Times reported.

Asked about his explosive slap-the-nearest-white-person comment, Barron told WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg he was only joking before the interview turned contentious.

So I guess we are being forced to accept as true by the MSM that Obama like Barron is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth when he says the Reverend Wright was only joking when he equated white people with the scum of the earth.

A vote for Barracks Hussein Obama is a big vote for spiraling America into another Zimbabwe but with far worst consequences for it's citizens and the world.

I’ll vote for him, but I can not bring myself to write a check. The only check I’m writing this year is going to my State Supreme Court race.

Well, it would seem Senator Obama’s dialectical materialism is showing.

I have a close colleague, one of the few conservatives in my department (the others all lived under Communism), who, in the 1960’s and early 70’s was active in the ‘New Left’ in the Hyde Park area of Chicago, from which Obama hails. He describes his former political commitments as ‘having been a Communist’, and marvels that the Democrats are repeating the mistake of 2004 and look set to nominate another Communist. (Kerry was VVAW, which my colleague regards as sufficient evidence to consider him a Communist.)

I would like to see the “urban liberals” attitudes toward rural people if they did not receive their food, water, gasoline, electricity. Generally, the urban liberals do not have any conception as to how the consumables they require for life actually get on the store shelves.

Arrogant ba$tards.

I agree he is absolutely clueless. Let me take a stab at why.

1. He was raised during his formative years outside of the United States in a Muslim society, where if he heard anything about the US, it was negative.

2. Then he has spent the last 20 years-plus attending the “church” of Reverend Wright, where he sees going there is not just bitter, but anti-American. (What is that, almost half his life?)

When he reaches down to the depths of his being for a phrase, how can it possibly resonate positively with the rest of America? He is simply the quintessential urban, anti-American libera, otherwise known as a DemocRat.

If you think more about the mind of the man who said this about rural Americans turning to guns and religion because of bitterness, does that not tell you that he is terribly afraid of those same superstitious, armed peasants?

I’m not donating to McCain, but I’m sure donating to the NRA!

But it is absolutely true.

Ah, yes. But the truth is apparently the first casualty of a close Dem nomination campaign. Here's what those 'small town' folks are REALLY looking for...another lying politician with the same tired promises of the last 25 years to help them regain their prosperous lifestyles of yesteryear...

Interesting that this Obama comment originated from a low-quality tape recording made at a PRIVATE fundraiser in San Francisco, then published on the 'Huffington Post' forum...a known Hitlery support bastion that is reviled as 'vile' at least once a week on O'Reilly's 'No Spin Zone'.

Then again, the recording may have been made by one of Rush's operatives and leaked to the 'Huffington Post' in support of Operation Chaos because Obama was closing the Hildebeast's lead in Pennsylvania and she needed a booster shot.

Developing...

>Just what has Obama accomplished in life with his privileged education other than elected office and an activist for several radical groups?

I know some people from the Chicago area who are white and think a lot like this. Even in the suburbs, the attitude is like this whole new controversy with Obama. The following statements describe these people. (The Typical Chicago Liberal White People Syndrome.)

1) Condescending to everybody.

2) Acting like other less fortunate white people are just getting their just due for slavery and oppression of minorities, even if the people themselves and even their ancestors had NOTHING to do with it.

3) All the while, they living high on the hog and think they are entitled to the life they live.

4) Bringing up politics (Global Warming, SUVs, Title IX) at inappropriate times like Holiday dinners and funerals.

5) Were radical in the 1960s.

That is what these people are all about. And the government workers who produce nothing act like they are
superior to the people who they are taking more and more money from but who can’t find decent jobs anymore but still pay high taxes of every kind on much less.

These people can’t stop because radical is what they are and who they are.
