“He’s making false generalizations. A lot of Democrats were ready to vote for Obama until Obama and Rev. Wright came under media scrutiny. His candidacy is not a victim of nativism.”

Obama said:

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

It’s also a distant arrogance, elite urban liberal/non-urban. It also is a convenient blaming away of his own guilt for supporting positions he knows will further those ills he bashes others for, eg., job losses.

He’s also demeaning of religion here. I’ve suspected that the big story about his “religion” is any religiosity he claims is phony.

Hillary or any shadow group supporting her should put that quote on ads in PA and NC NOW.

And if that doesn’t happen, the ones supporting McCain should be all over it too.

That quote alone could possibly cost Obama PA, MI, Ohio, FL in the fall.

Sorry, I just got back from racing around with Daisy Duke in my General Lee car.

He's been hanging out with Rev. Wright and he can't figure out why people in Pittsburgh, Allentown, and Lancaster County might be a little uncomfortable with his candidacy? Hint: It's not their nativism that is the problem.
