John McCain will walk into the endzone vs. this clown.

Pretty sad that there couldn’t be a true Conservative running.

This guy could pull out a prayer rug, start the call to prayer and 20,000 lemmings would be instant converts.

That is what he is doing

Then 20k more, and 20k more over and over again.

Both he and Hilliary can beat McCain.

And his Jimmy the Greek moment. Jimmy the Greek was sacked in 1988 after 12 years with CBS for the following statement:

"The black is a better athlete to begin with because he's been bred to be that way -- because of his high thighs and big thighs that goes up into his back, and they can jump higher and run faster because of their bigger thighs. This goes back all the way to the Civil War when during the slave trading, the owner -- the slave owner would breed his big black to his big woman so that he could have a big black kid."

Here’s Kristof’s site:

Obama: Man of the World

Let it sink in... i’ve only told people about this (not you obviously), since last year.

Wow, now I know what they mean by politics makes 'strangebedfellows.'

Shudder ... the image of anybody--even figuratively--getting into bed with Hillary is just so ... icky ...

I know how you feel about changing registration. I'd been trying to get my wife to do it since long before Rush started in on it, but back in the early days of 2008 I was sure I'd be voting against HRC.

I Never did talk my better half into making the jump, and I turned my own application in at 4:55 PM on the 24th. Nice young lady behind the counter said, "you just made it," to which I replied, "I don't plan on being a Democrat one second longer than absolutely necessary."

The only politician who would be worse that Obama as President would be Ted Kennedy. Let's cross that bridge when we come to it, shall we?

I didn't want Obama to walk away with the Dim nomination...I want a brokered convention...Dim infighting and the like. But I felt strangely wrong changing my registration...but I did. Then I started second guessing myself...should I stay home on April 22? Nah...after hearing the sound byte...well, I now consider myself a 'broken glass' DINO (out here in the hinterlands of PA)...cue the Deliverence theme...

Oh, yeah, that would be the "bridge to nowhere" and the "3 am call" that never happened, about NOT saving the country from disaster. Fat Teddy would be too drunk to answer anyway......

Hey, my Dad has been a DINO since 1952: the last Democrat he voted for for any office was Truman. Small town South Eastern Pennsylvania kid, came back home from the war and married a farmer's daughter. So even though I lived in both Philly (ugh!) and the 'Burgh (yahoo!) for some years, you don't get a more authentic rural PA pedigree than me.

Reading this effete little snob's remarks about me and my kin, I'm reminded of William F. Buckley Jr.'s remark that he'd rather be governed by 300 random people from the Cambridge phone book than the Harvard faculty. No kidding. It's nice to be reminded how the grandees of liberalism actually view the great unwashed masses. Guess he regards it as the half-white-man's burden to take care of us bitter, jobless, hillbillies.

Sounds like you and your kin just need to get over being “typical white people” and then you might be able to appreciate Snob-ama’s sophistication and brilliance. /s

Thanks, I actually figured that out back in the Clinton era. I know women who are SO blinded that they’d do ANYTHING she says. Jim Jones mentality by the millions, very scary.

So Fred, cut to the chase.

Does Obama have a shot in PA, or can Fast Eddie deliver the state for Mrs. Clinton? Can Clinton street money actually suppress the African-American vote enough to get Clinton in? Or will the bosses take her money and the "voters" pull the lever for the Golden-Tongued Anointed One anyway? (Not that that ever made much differnce in your state.)

Look at the bright side, this could be a test of how many registered voters in PA actually exist!

Oh, but I do admire his sophistication and brilliance. In the same way I admire, say, Soapy Smith. I just don't want him to hold any of my money.

This is a question I've ever since I'd read Kristof's article:

when he says Obama recited the Call to Prayer with a perfect accent, was he speaking in Arabic?

“Thats why I’m voting for him in the primary May 6! “

You are nuts. RCP has him leading McCain now...
you want this guy in the White House?

It’s disgusting that this man is not considered a fringe candidate.

Ah, thanks for the link — I had heard of Soapy Smith when I was in Skagway a few years ago but I didn’t realize how ‘impressive’ his career had been before he every got to Skagway.

All of the Demagogues have a lot in common with Soapy Smith.

John Fund and a number of others have made a great deal out of the over-abundance of unpurged voters on the rolls in PA, but Republicans here--as in California--have blown it for themselves and blaming outcomes on voter fraud is a fine way to keep on losing. I know this is a perennial hardy on Free Republic, but it just aint so.

The truth is that Democrats have been successful over the last several cycles here because a) the PA GOP is moribund and b) so-called Republicans in the suburbs of Philly are really Democrats. Typically Western PA goes heavily enough to overrule Filthydelphia but in the last ten years the five counties in the exurbs (which used to break even) have gone over to the Dark Side.

I can't tell you whether Fast Eddie can deliver Philadelphia or not; that is very heavily black and it's his only real base in state. He never could deliver anywhere else. The endorsement of named Dims means very little in The Commonwealth. BHO and his fawning press tried to turn the Casey endorsement into something "unexpected" and "wonderful" but given that the Casey family have been enemies of the Clintons since his father was shut out of the Dim Convention, and that Rendell and Casey are also enemies, the only real surprise was that it took so long for Bobby to show up.

My guess is Clinton will win, but not by enough. She needs at least ten points and that seems very doubtful. There are "huge" numbers of Republicans registering as Dems in this contest--huge by conventional standards of party-switching--but I doubt that we can account for more than 2 or 3 points at the most and her Thighness needs a lot more help than that. Young voter registration in the last week (3/17-3/24) was enormous, and they will ALL be in Soapy Smith's Tribe. Bad news for November, I'm afraid.

Barack Obama and the Muslim call to prayer

On this day in 2007, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.” In an interview with The New York Times, Senator Obama recited, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent,” the opening lines of this prayer:

“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... “
