This is sad. Monk is one of the best shows on TV — the Alice Cooper Wing Back Chair moment is priceless — and I’ve always liked the actor who played his therapist. Never knew his name, but he was one of those “Hey—IT’S THAT GUY!” actors. Good character actor. RIP.

That's the episode with the Alice Cooper Wing Back chair! He comes up with this explanation that since the union boss was found in an antique wing back chair (and Rock Stars LOVE antiques), Alice Cooper killed him out of envy and because, "Sure, he's a hippy, but he's a hippy that will beat the crap out of you and steal your chair."

Brilliant writing, and Tony Shaloub is awesome.
