ABC News' Sarah Amos and Eloise Harper Report: President Clinton, speaking in Boonville, Ind., revised history when he recounted his wife's recent flap discussing a trip she took to Bosnia in 1996. President Clinton's version had several inaccuracies and was slightly misleading.
President Clinton's described his wife's experience, saying, "There was a lot of fulminating because Hillary, one time late at night when she was exhausted, misstated and immediately apologized for it - what happened to her in Bosnia in 1995. Did y'all see all that. Oh, they blew it up. Let me just tell you." Clinton then criticized the press, saying, “You woulda thought, you know, that she'd robbed a bank the way they carried on about this. And some of them, when they're 60, they'll forget something when they're tired at 11:00 at night, too."
President Clinton's version of the story has several inaccuracies. Hillary Clinton actually made the exaggerated comments numerous times, including at an event in Dubuque, Iowa on Dec. 29th, in Waco, TX on Feb. 29th, and twice -- bright and early in the morning -- on March 17.
Sen. Clinton did not apologize, as Mr. Clinton asserted. His wife did say she had made a mistake and said that she had misspoken when describing the Bosnia incident.
Sen. Clinton also wasn't as quick with her apology as President Clinton may remember either. In fact, it took a week for her to eventually correct herself, first talking to the Philadelphia Inquirer editorial board on March 24 and again the following day in Greensboro, N.C.
President Clinton also indicated that his wife's trip took place in 1996 – when it fact it took place in 1995.
President Clinton then later in the evening told the story again in Jasper, Ind., saying the press was treating his wife like the Mata Hari. "She took a terrible beating in the press for a few days because she was exhausted at 11 o'clock at night and she started talking about Bosnia and she misstated the circumstances under which she landed in Bosnia. Did you all see all that? And oh, they acted like she was practically Mata Hari - like she was making up all this stuff."

If these two are really that old that they can’t remember basic facts, can they be trusted with Presidency?

Y’all need to give Bubba a break. Isn’t he like 60 or something? He can’t remember what happened last week much less what happened when his wife told a little story to illustrate what a hero she is for flying into a dangerous war zone with bullets flying. Or not. The whole point is that you tell a good story. How dare anyone verify the facts?!?!?!

This recent episode is more troubling that just the obvious fact that the whole thing was a lie.
To take Bill at his word that this was a mistake made in the 11 o’clock hour, it sure makes the 3 AM commercial(being ready and fit to handle the red phone call) a perfect ad. McCain won’t make it but I’m sure the 527’s will. If she can’t keep her story straight just from being tired, I don’t trust her to make THE decision at 3 AM.
Getting back to Bill, it has been my experience that a percentage of heart surgery patients fall into a depression; highly explosive over things that would been overlooked normally; a narcoleptic tendency to fall asleep at inappropriate times. He really should be evaluated for early stage dementia.
It had to be nasty when Hillary told him to butt out. When you parse his words, he basically took McCain’s age out of the equation. Bill intimated that she is getting senile.

When informed that her story was incorrect, Hillary derisively dismissed the truth as told by Sinbad with a "he's a comedian" comment.
That would work, except for the fact that Hillary initially told the story in the morning. This was brought up this morning on the radio about Bubba adding to the lie.
These people are becoming their own real life caricatures.
Exactly, he is one of the most overrated politicians in history.
