I am buying 4 gig of RAM for a new box for $70. The video card is built into the motherboard (ATI 3400) and will more than adequately handle Vista. You can upgrade a box to do Vista for next to nothing.

You can upgrade a box to do Vista for next to nothing. Hank - I've got an XP box from 2000 that's only got 256Mb of RAM and a 900MHz processor that will smoke most anybody's home box.
And I didn't have to upgrade a dime's worth.

The video card is built into the motherboard (ATI 3400) and will more than adequately handle Vista. That card came out a year after Vista's launch. At the time of launch, few onboard graphics chips could run Vista completely.
