The info on Absolut’s new ad campaign aimed at gays was news to me.
I stopped drinking Margaritas ages ago because of their “nationality”. I can certainly do the same with foreign vodka.
The lure of Absolut was that one could get snot-slinging drunk, then get up and go to work the next morning without any ill affects. Other Vodkas, such as Ketel One were soon discovered to be just as good for the single, bar-closing crowd with the added plus of being even trendier to impress one’s friends.
Unfortunately, SKYY promotes an acute case of the trots and a headache reminiscent of New Year’s Day after drinking champagne with a few shots of Yagermeister thrown in here and there. It is more appropriate for weekend drinking where one can stay close to a bathroom and an ice pack. Of course, it’s medicinal value can’t be overlooked. A shot or two will do more for “regulation” than an entire box of ex-lax.
