COURIC'S FALL HURT US ALL (overpaid fluff ball with no testosterone gravitas)
NY POST ^ | April 11, 2008 | ANDREA PEYSER

One wonders why, in its giddiness to lure in Katie Couric as its news babe, CBS threw away all common sense. Since the dawn of television, men have dominated network news for obvious reasons. Their voices are lower and they rarely display middle-aged gams. This amalgam of testosterone and primness has helped even an outright buffoon like Dan Rather to do a convincing imitation of gravitas. Even the network's trick of sending Katie to Iraq failed to rope in a single viewer. But much has been lost beyond the handsome salary. Now, putting another female into Katie's position will look like a stunt. And a stunt that failed miserably the first time around. Talent, not affirmative action, will save CBS News.

Here’s one from way back in the beginning, before she even took over. Funny stuff.

Here'a a prophetic post from brownsfan

I think Katie is dynamic enough to take the entire CBS news operation down the tubes. A couple of years of the perky one, and CBS will mothball the entire operation and simply rebroadcast CNN Headline news for their news segment.

I had no idea I was capable of such insight. :)
If only I could make money on this sort of thing. I’m available for consulting of all types!

LOL, that one's perfect. Brownsfan said on that thread:

"I think Katie is dynamic enough to take the entire CBS news operation down the tubes. A couple of years of the perky one, and CBS will mothball the entire operation and simply rebroadcast CNN Headline news for their news segment."

And to think just this week it was reported that CBS was trying to purchase news from CNN and that Katie will likely be leaving shortly.

Shouldn’t Obama propose a law against that?
