WP article based on FOIA from the Pentagon that says that Robert Maginnis, author of the article at the top of this thread, was recruited by Pentagon and participated in a program to be official military analysts for media interviews and write op-eds about Iraq in return for access, contracts, etc. which were not disclosed to the media that printed it or when they were put on the air. Some of these included repeating talking points.
Maginnis is quoted as sayting that he did not believe some of the info given him to pass on, but did not mention his misgivings about what he was saying. Don't know how true this is WP article is, but you should at least be aware of this article mentioning Maginnis.
