As if this piece weren’t awful enough, she , an educated person, uses a phrase like “I know marriages are incredibly complex”-—this use, and overuse of “incredibly” is so much a part of the adolescentization of the so called educated classes, (especially those 50something Boomers like Rosen), that is takes its place alongside leaden phrases like “You’re just this amazing, amazing lady.....”.which one usually hears from the lips of 20 or 30 somethings. I am waiting to hear from some quarter someone say “You’re just this incredibly amazing candidate”, etc. etc. That would make my day.
Yes, it’s ‘almost surreal’!
OH and I just noticed the last line “fulfill your incredible potential”.
Does that make sense?
