Too bad more folks won’t educate their kids with a “compare and contrast”
treatment of two “Purple People Eaters”.

Not-so-good role model: Carl Eller

Postive role model: Alan Page
(not sayin’ Page is a saint/perfect...but sure has taken a positive path)

Reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Eller

In 2004 Eller was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Named to
the Vikings’ 40th Anniversary Team in 2000.

On February 27, 2006, he was arrested for DUI.

On April 8, 2008, he was arrested for Fourth Degree Assault on a
police officer.

In 1992, Page was elected to an open seat as an Associate Justice of
the Minnesota Supreme Court, becoming the first African-American to
ever serve on that court. He was re-elected in 1998, becoming the
biggest vote-getter in Minnesota history, and was again re-elected in 2004.

Justice Page’s contributions to the community have not gone unnoticed,
and he has been the recipient of a number of awards recognizing
the impact he has made on the lives of children throughout the nation.
He has also received Honorary Doctorates in Humane Letters from the
University of Notre Dame, Winston-Salem State University, and Gustavus
Adolphus College, as well as Honorary Doctorates of Laws from the
University of Notre Dame, St. John’s University, Westfield State College,
Luther College, and the University of New Haven.

At least he did not run the wrong way with the football like his buddy Jim Marshall.

Police used a Taser, but Martin said it had no effect and called for backup.

Rotney King all over again.

Don’t know what kind of taser, but I had one in my hand just the other day.

It’s a barb, and it has to be removed surgically, and there are two of them. It impressed the heck out of me. I would guess this man is still hurting.

One more drunk bum who thinks playing a children’s game as an adult should give him a pass.

Sixty-six years old and a taser still doesn't affect him?

Holy smokes.
