He served in the US Army in World War One, was a prisoner of War at Los Banos internment camp in World War Two.... Frank Buckles did not qualify for internment at Arlington as that honor is reserved for Medal of Honor or Purple Heart recipients, or those killed in action.

So let me get this straight - - Frank Buckles did not rate Arlington, but John F'n Kerry does?

Any American Prisoner of War under the Japanese deserves to be Buried in Arlington, Especially those from the Battan Death March.

At least before Kerry...

Good deal. At least we'll have a place to p*ss!

Here's what I found out; bear in mind that only about 10% of all vets chose to go there, most stay in their home towns. Also, Congress can make any changes it wants to, assuming it can herd the cats effectively.

Besides having a purple heart, John Kerry is qualified as being a Senator. I believe being a Senator gives you some qualifications at Arlington IIRC.
