Meanwhile Francisco is probably back hiding in Me-hi-co and there is no one to corroborate or dispute her story.

"I am a victim, too" she cries.
DEPORTATION of her illegal @rse AFTER she rots in jail. If NO witness comes forward to verify her story, she's toast.
Even if a witness does come forward, hopefully the jury will send a message to undocumented UNLICENSED aliens that they should turn around, head back to their home country, fill out the necessary paperwork and wait their turn.
I disagree with amnesty because it means that those people who follow the rules are penalized. To be JUST and FAIR, send them all home after they are finger printed and a DNA sample is taken. Their info goes into a data base of deportations and they will never be given permission to reenter the USofA. Period.
I still say whoever was driving (and I do not believe her story) that person couldn't read a stop sign and that's the real reason the van ran into to school bus.

It's not like they're hard to see.

There were more than one witnesses, including the bus driver. They haven’t been quoted in the media since shortly after the accident. Smart move by the prosecution. There was nothing in the early reporting that would support her story.
Click on the keyword “alianissmorales” in this thread for a ton of background.

The way Olga Franco tells it...[h]er boyfriend, Francisco, was driving...One hopes he is not Francisco Franco.
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
Franco was in the driver’s seat “and had to be extricated from the vehicle.”
That alone says she is a lieing pos.

Notice how this story has just dropped off of the radar screen. School bus crashes usually are major news stories, almost like a plane crash. This one, with multiple fatalities, would normally be in the paper every day for months, but I think because an illegal is involved, the MSM is ignoring it.
To: sheana
Yeah, I caught that right away, too....
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
I think the bus driver and another motorist who witnessed the crash will establish she was driving and was the only one in the vehicle. She had also previously claimed the the bus hit her van! I think 10-20 years in prison followed by immediate deportation will send a very tough message to these illegals.
However, I think the court and law enforcement officials who failed to turn her into ICE when she had a previous accident about a year before should also get reprimanded. Those poor kids would be alive today if they had done their job and she had been deported back to Guatemala

Well, it was very well covered in the aftermath, but we’re just waiting for the trial date.
The Star Tribune has committed a collosal blunder, here. By doing this exclusive interview and running the story, they have refueled public outrage over this tragedy and the locals are calling BS.
This was their lead (web) story early this morning. I had to do an extensive search to find it in order to post it this evening.
They screwed the pooch and they KNOW it.......

Industrial BS. This young lady's lawyer has no choice but to use the 'it wasn't me it was the other guy' defense. Otherwise, for the deaths of those four beautiful young children she probably wont see the light of day again until she is 50.
However her lawyer needs to be reminded that..
1) as others said there were witnesses she was the driver AND
2) Her own statement after the accident where she said she stopped at the stop sign, then when she started to go, she said the bus hit her. Nothing about her boyfriend.
To: ButThreeLeftsDo
Ahhh, the perp becomes a victim. This is how they do it in the US. Doesn’t matter that SHE was the only driver. Doesn’t matter that SHE was found in the driver’s seat. Doesn’t matter that FOUR CHILDREN were killed. All that matters is that she has one sad story.
Evidently IF you have a sad story, all sins are forgiven.
I hope her lawyer roasts.
