I remember seeing his "The Water Engine" years ago. I thought it was great. It just seemed to disappear from TV.

All the great stuff he has done, but that is the movie that sticks in my mind when I hear his name.

Mamet’s had a long fascination with the con game. So many of his films dealt with that particular theme, Glengarry Glen Ross and House of Games being the most notable.

I don't think I know him from Adam, but I suspect his best work is yet to come.
