I had not heard about Mr. Yu’s death, but the Howard Beach incident is still known in the NYC area.
It isn’t a hate crime when they do it...
There was a short blurb in the local paper today about “teenagers” attacking a Russian speaking elderly man in my city yesterday evening. There was no robbery. Of course there was no description of the assailants. I’ll bet this is another hate crime that will not get any more coverage.
