Isn’t reduction in the human population on of the goals of the En-vitrol-mental movement? This is one way to make it happen. Mass starvation in the name of non-existent global warming. [Not

In Bangladesh and other poor countries, farmers are embedding low tech fertilizer-infused briquettes in the soil to deliver nitrogen to rice.

I don't wanna know.........

If the red meat from cows is verboten, do eco-freaks eat cow pies?

It’s no mistake. We have heard from these green wing-nuts. They believe humans are a scourge on the earth, and want a mass die-off so “mother earth” can heal.

Why wait for things to get to a critical level? Ted Turner has already said we will all have to turn to cannibalism anyway. Why not today?

Ethanol Madness..................

yes. All three candidates remaining are hot for this ethanol fraud. We are heading into dark times. McCain is a mental midget who will do NOTHING to return us to Liberty and capitalism.

Enviro-nuts are no less evil than Hitler and Stalin. Their heart is purely anti-human. The want large numbers of humans killed off. I pray the day arrives where they are hunted down and dealt what they deserve. They should all burn in Hell for all eternity. Ethanol is a product of bunch of twisted people in and out of government.

Re: “The result of these mandates is that about 100 million tons of grain will be transformed this year into fuel, drawing down global grain stocks to their lowest levels in decades. Keep in mind that 100 million tons of grain is enough to feed nearly 450 million people for a year.”

We must make an issue of this in the upcoming election. Tell the working person (typically a Democrat) why he has to pay more to put food on his table, and tie it in with leftist policies like Kyoto, Al Gore’s drivel, and so on, and he will put on an elephant trunk in no time flat.

The manufacturing of ethanal should be viewed much as manufacturing PCP and crack cocaine are viewed, i.e. as a criminal activity. Worst part of it seems to be that there is a vastly better way to produce fuel without wasting any farmland which is capable of growing corn and wheat.

For years, the countries of Africa have complained that Europe and the US were subsidizing grain exports that were undercutting their farmers with lower productivity.
Now they have a chance to show what they can do. The trouble it is happening too fast and many African countries, like Zimbabwae have destroyed their ag infrastructure and driven out those that know how to produce.
All that said..ethanol subsidies are a bad idea that has caught on with green wennies and now farmers who are getting a windfall.
This is almost as dumb as carbon cap and trade.

Sadly, there are some FReepers that bought into the Ethanol scam, just as some bought the Gorebal warming scam.
