So it was more than a bit hypocritical of Corzine to disparage New York City's idea, and not just for its economics, either; at least New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg had a higher purpose in mind, that of reducing automobiles in Manhattan fouling the city's air. All the New Jersey governor's proposal was intended to do was rake in additional dollars for his cash-starved state, a familiar and tired refrain from lawmakers who live on this side of the Hudson."Higher purpose"? LOL!!!!
Hey Bloomie, why don't you just ban automobiles in Manhattan? Taxi, limos, you name it...make everyone take the subway! Turn the streets into more parks!

Like most on the left, they’re all for new taxes. . .until it hits them in the wallet.
