I agree they have influence. What I disagree with is the contention that they are King makers. The press has lost much of their credibility and the Internet has just about put them out of business. Certainly they have lost their ability in large part to shape events based on their biased reporting of events.

The MSM does not have to be “king makers.” They only have to influence about 5% of the electorate to sway an election, if it’s close.
