The "View Replies" feature has always been very useful. But for some reason, even on a cable modem on a new iMac, I just hate to click on it and find no replies.I'd like an indication of the number of replies which have been posted to a given reply in advance of clicking on it. I realize that you might be limited to only showing the number of replies to a given reply as of the time I opened the thread, but that would still be helpful in many instances. I might even experiment with RSS if that would give me an up-to-date reading on the number of replies to the particular reply I'm interested in.
Green for my posts is gone? :(
I really liked that feature. It showed so clearly what I could skip over instead of looking at every post.
I really love the *Clear pings* feature, once I realized it wouldn’t erase my entire ping history permanently. I can go through my pings, clear them out, and easily pick up where I left off.
Thanks for all you work.
Hm, that was not intentional. I’ll have to check the code.
I have seen sites implement an edit feature and then turn into the below:
poster1- lol 1 +1 = 14
poster2- you dumb it does not!
2 days later
poster1- *edit edit edit*
poster2- you dumb you said 14
poster1- no I didnt you liar!
poster2- MODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!
And thus began the war of the screenshots.

I like the feature of not being able to edit comments for that very reason.
Just click on that link there, then save the page to your favorites.
When you come to FR, just open the link BEFORE you go to your My Comments page and you can see how many new comments are posted to you.
And then, when you are on FR, when you get a NEW comment posted to you from someone else, you will hear a little bell to let you know! :^D

Check it out. :)
(You can also find the “Pager” on your My Comments page, just next to the “Sign Out” link at the top of the page). :)
More of an idea than a problem comment, FR should have a Topic section just for MODs’ threads, with only the MODs being able to put threads into it, like the ones for your latest revisions, for a FR tutorial, and for Bootcamp & Sandbox threads. That way newbies to FR can go there and learn how to post, etc.

Thanks, Meek...I’ll give it a whirl! ;)
You bet! :^D
I find it very handy, and hope you do, too.
Bookmarking for later..........
Thanks, JR!
The Pinger/Bell/Pager is FIXED now!
For Firefox users...
I setup a script at http://userstyles.org/styles/6280 that lets a user change the font to 12pt Verdana for the main site. I just added the beta to the script on my PC and it works ok there too. It can easily be modified to another font if you wish. Please let me know if you have any questions, etc.
I have a question. What happened to the opinion poll?
"I really liked that feature. It showed so clearly what I could skip over instead of looking at every post."
And now the Sidebar Thread Fonts are back to a tiny font too? On my 22" wide-screen that's presents a bit of an 'Eye Problem'.
Green for my posts is gone? :(I really liked that feature. It showed so clearly what I could skip over instead of looking at every post.
I really liked that feature, too. It made seeing which comments were mine a no-brainer.
It makes FReeping on autopilot sooooo much easier, especially when you’re up WAAAAAYYYY past your bedtime due to this *addictive* site.
Thanks, John.
Has the “Headlines Only” option in Preference been deleted?
It’s not showing up or working.
Thanks again.
Could we pleeeeeease have the option of having the My Comments page look the way it used to, instead of the pukey green mess that it is now?
