The International Olympic Committee will discuss whether to terminate the international leg of the Beijing Olympic torch relay if the event, already marred by radical anti-Chinese protests in London and Paris, is disrupted further in San Francisco, the next stage, sources close to the situation said Tuesday.
The relay will continue in San Francisco but the entire situation surrounding the event will change if further disruption involving injuries occurs in the U.S. city, the sources said.
Asked about the possibility of the IOC ending the remaining portion of the relay, IOC President Jacques Rogge told a news conference in Beijing that "I'm not saying whether it is certain or not." "There will be a discussion of the executive board on the torch relay but I attach on that absolutely no speculation whatsoever."
“...radical anti-Chinese protests....”
I’ll have to look through the papers. Do they ever call anti-war protests “radical”? Or anti-Bush, or anti-capitalism (WTO Seattle) protests radical?
I guess you’re only a radical if you protest commies.
Optional tagline: Don’t Stop the Torch, Stop China!
“The relay will continue in San Francisco but the entire situation surrounding the event will change if further disruption involving injuries occurs in the U.S. city, the sources said.”
It’s all the fault of the U.S.
They the Chicoms can hold the really rigged games.
Hillary speaking out against China? Kettle you are black said the pot.
Good.
This is going to be a disaster! The arena has no roof because the chicoms are going to control the rainfall. LOL

Counter-Revolutionary, too, no doubt...
The fact that the Chinese are hosting - and the whole WORLD can’t abide their crap - is nothing compared to making US the scapegoat for all of it.
I had a minifit about China and their crappy exports in our stores. My husband told me to find a pair of shoes in my closet that weren’t made in China.
You know the rest. No, he hasn’t let me throw them out and replace them. Yet.
My American flag was made in China! GRRR
I am also trying to avoid products made in China. My wife, the bargain shopper, is having a difficult time with it.
Me know!!! Double grrrr!!!
HINT: I have noticed lately that Target has been offering garments made in Sri Lanka and VietNam.
But the shoes and dinnerware are still made in the Bad Place that Kills People and Dogs With their Lack of Quality Control.
Maos got your Tung?
We needed a waffle maker. Regardless of brand, price, or retailer, ALL were made in China...unless we wanted to pay ~$300 for one...until we found a little-known U.S. manufacturer.
C. Palmer Manufacturing in PA makes and assembles all their own products in PA. They retail them online at reasonable prices, and regardless of what or how much/many you order, the S&H is $7.50!
I called to place our order, so I could discuss differences in models first, and tell them we appreciated having a non-Chinese source. The woman laughed, and said, “We regularly receive calls from companies asking us if we're interested in out-sourcing. I just hang up on them!”
We not only bought the waffle maker, but also their pirogie form & ravioli form, and are quite happy with them.
Is that bilous green type for “My Comments” on the “New Posts to You” page a subtle way of telling me that my comments are as sicking as ChiCom importado?
Per #2; It’s the same media take when they refer to WWII as the only ‘good’ war. Because we were allied with the Soviets in that one all other wars are bad.
“If the torch was made in China it should go out several times on it own during it’s journey. By the end it wont work at all.”
Planned obsolescence: preventing their own international catastrophe by self-destructing inferior crap they push off on everyone else.
