Well first of all, you're the one who brought up monopoly (if I were the only chair manufacturer), which was foolish in the extreme considering how many petroleum production companies there are.

Now secondly, you seem to think that you're the arbiter of what are or are not obscene profits. Please define "obscene" profits. More than you make? More than you think anyone should make?
