“Patton was a warrior not a P.C. idiot. One of the last of his kind. He understood you won by if possible quick and precise battles which broke the will of not only the enemy but their people as well. I doubt he would have much use for Cold Pink nor George because both Cold Pink and Bush though on opposite sides about Iraq are wrong on war in general.”

Perfectly stated! There are thesis papers out there written by military tacticians, that students in all kinds of military courses can read, about how there is a time limit to how long a military can occupy another country before the benefits of war are lost. At some point, the longer an occupying force stays among an indigenous population, the more they are resented. We know our troops aren’t in Iraq to take over their land or resources, but what the ordinary people see everyday are the patrols and guys in camouflage. They start to blame them for the instability and for every problem. No nation has ever benefited from prolonged war. If it’s taking that long, things are not getting done. Before someone brings up our bases in Korea or Europe......PLEASE! It’s not the same thing at all and anyone comparing our presence in Iraq to our presence of bases in Europe or South Korea are being dishonest and they know it. Unless someone can post a news report showing the recent deaths of our troops due to being on patrol and driving over a roadside bomb in S. Korea, Germany, Japan, or some other host country.

Wonder what Patton would say about the difference between our men dying while shelling the hell out of their enemies (like in WWll), and dying like sitting ducks from roadside bombs. The former is war. The latter is a long series of intentionally designed fatal accidents making the latter .........SENSELESS!

This war would be over if it were 1943, unfortunately it isn’t 1943 and the law guides it. I know you know this yet some may not.

What George S. would have to say to Code Pinko would be unprintable in any publication.

WOW!!! This is a real coincident as I went to the monthly Flea Market here in Eureka Ca this morning and on one table was a Life Magazine displayed and I picked it up and then set it down as I am at the age where I want to eliminate stuff not acquire it. It was the January 1945 edition with General George Patton on the cover and I did not open it because I did not want to be tempted to purchase it. In hindsight it was the wrong choice...

I have Patton's diary in paper back somewhere around here tho I haven't seen it in years.

A couple of things I recall which would be of interest today. First of all, he despised Islam. He thought it was the reason the Arabs were so backwards. He also hated the was they treated their animals which he also blamed on Islam. He thought the Scicilians were dirty but compared to the Arabs he thought they were clean.

What would Gen. George S. Patton say if he came back and ran into Code Pink?

I believe it would be something like this;

Slick/Shlap, BLAM, BLAM BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, Click/Plop, Slap/snick, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM, BLAM!

By this time the pinko's would have left to find Al Gore or would be taking a long nap.

LOL.....IOW: He was not a victim of political correctness. He was brutally honest about the fact that not all cultures and belief systems are equal. Wouldn’t fit in real well in this modern age of “enlightenment”. Might even be called by some, a war-monger. A “kill em all type”.

“This war would be over if it were 1943, unfortunately it isn’t 1943 and the law guides it. I know you know this yet some may not.”

The way we think about war has changed. War itself has not changed however. It is as brutal and bloody as it ever was. That is why they shouldn’t be entered into lightly but once entered into, fought the only way that has ever shown to actually work. Pretending it can be fought this way is an injustice to those who fight for us. We owe it to them to start acting like a sovereign nation whose national security decisions will be made by our CIC and leadership, not by world consensus or opinion. The rules of armed conflict do not prohibit us from leveling whatever place our CIC decides needs to be leveled. We do not have to answer to the UN or any other world body for our national security decisions. Only to the extent we allow them to dictate to us do we and that should be not at all. If they don’t like it, screw them. They’ll come around again when they need us. I’m sick and tired of this one world community non-sense where our leaders have to plead their case and ask permission and get mandates that set terms. That sure has worked out well for us.
