My response: According to Matthew 1: 5 & Joshua 2:1, Jesus was also a descendant of a prostitute (Rahab), but that doesn’t mean the Lord condones prostitution. It just means he can work through fallen man.
The Lord didn’t condone prostitution, but the Lord gave David his wives, through his prophet Nathan.
2 Samuel 12:8
And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom,
