Yeah my husband was sick a few weeks ago. Now he has residual bronchitis. I was really concerned about him but he's much better. He's been on 3 different antibiotics for about a month now.

-—”First of all you jump in on something that has been going on for over a year this is not just a drive by thread I was here by my self before my nemisis showed up.

-—So statements I make are froma long trail of of being ambushed by a few here over and over. You really don’t know who is who to be fair so to have an assessment until after a few weeks you should hold judgement.

-—Since you are jaded on the LDS I am sure you will side with them.”

700+ posts, methinks this is hardly a drive-by thread. I have seen enough of your judgementalism in posts made to others, and myself, in this ONE THREAD alone to tell me all I need to know... especially when I see someone falling back on the ole ‘Do not question me, I am witnessed to by God’ line. You are witnessed to by SOMEONE, thats for sure... but I am uncertain it is God and not the other guy.

-—”This kind of silly retort is very non productive only met to hurt from a person like who says he is a Chirstian but can not hold the tongue, really it is an automatic response I know I have the visit from the same spirit who urges one to do that, but I have been trying to subdue that voice of ill will!”

The problem I have with YOU is the fact that you are intellectually dishonest... an example being where you make the claim that I will side with one denomination of church over the other, when in fact I have made it quite clear that I am unconcerned with which denomination ANY of the characters involved are. Intellectual dishonesty can be named another thing, and be equally true... it is LIE. So that makes the one who willfully promotes it a LIAR. If I am hostile to a LIAR, then I am in good company. I beleive even Jesus Christ was hostile to those who willfully sin.. I recall something about him kicking a few tables over in the Temple. Yes, I am angered by intellectual dishonesty, and angered by any who lie or who would bear false witness... and I feel no need to be ashamed of THAT anger. The statement was meant to hurt? Of course it is. Sometimes it takes a slap in the face to make someone wake up and see reality.. and then again.. sometimes even that is not enough.

“OK, I’ll do this one more time, just for you.”

Actually Seven, you are doing it for you because
you misrepresented Christ’s lineage the first time.

“Jesus’ mortal line came through the House of David, who’s kings practiced polygamy. “

Exactly what I wrote. But be clear that Jesus’ lineage was
not polygamous, as Resty stated. He had ancestors who
practiced polygamy.

“That satisfy your intellectual prowess? ;-)”

No prowess required here. Just stating what is true and not
what mormonism tries to make true. You are correct this time.

But I add that this kind of intellectual sloppiness on the
part of mormonism has led to all kinds of falsehoods, heresies,
and illogical positions.

You done good Seven.

You mean you did not know that? Yes, it is true. They believe that Christ came over and ministered to the Aztecs, and was what the aztec peoples called Quetzecoatl (sp?) who was the “Feathered Serpent God”. They also believe that this is the reason the Aztecs thought the first conquistadors were God. Aztec legends held that Quetzecoatl travelled from the east on a ship with great white sails... and so when the conquistadors arrived, it was the return of the messiah.

the belief of Mormons that Christ then, after resurrection, did not ascend to Heaven, but rather that he sailed across the seas and became a messiah to the Aztec peoples

You're joking, right? Please tell me you're joking.
__________________________________________________

Yeah, that one was so wrong on so many levels. Firstly, no sailing, it was the resurrected, glorified Christ who ascended from heaven and appeared to his “other sheep”.(John 10:16)

2nd, he's about 1000 years off if he thinks the Aztecs were involved. Maya and Hopewell cultures maybe, that's the right time period.

The account of His visitation among the peoples of America can be read here:

“Um, Yes he was. All descendants of David were descendants of plural marriage. In fact so were Joseph and Mary.”

False. More specifically, mormonism falsehood.

“I knew exactly what resty was saying. Don’t accuse resty of embarrassing herself on this one. You are the one who is embarrassing himself.”

Then you are a better translator than most of us. I took her
words at face value with no imposed interpretation. And her
statement, like your own, was incorrect.

“Get a grip. You’re wrong. It happens. I’ve been wrong before. I admit when I’m wrong.”

Better do it again then because, “OOPS, It Happened Again...!”

In this case, Seven finally stated the truth that you and
Resty misrepresented.

best,
ampu

Actually, to be ‘technically’ correct, the son that resulted from the adulterous relationship was killed by the Lord. I hope your belief of this is not ruled out by a technicality! ______________________________________________________________ What, you don't believe this happened?

Go read 2 Samuel 12.

“Unless you can have two birth mothers and/or two biological Fathers, I think everyone falls into that category.”

Bingo. This is why the previous statements are wrong. Now
you’ve said it yourself.

Not to mention the fact that at the time the Book of Mormon was written, it fit in with what was, at that time, believed to be true about Quetzecoatl. Since that time, however, archaeologists have learned some new things about the Feathered Serpent... such as his requirement of human sacrifice... a requirement I have a hard time reconciling with my beliefs about Jesus.

That psuedo “testament” has no Jesus and thus no words with power...
________________________________________________________________________

Actually, if you read the account, wither or not you believe it's true, it lists many miracles done by Jesus among the people, showing them his power and compassion. Here's a sample:

These new bugs are scary

I have been real good until I altered my diet a little and my body rebelled!

Was eating thing I know my body does not take too, to much carbs up set the ph balance.

I think I am going to take some Supergreens to reset the alkaline/acid.

InnerLight SuperGreens, created by Dr. Robert O. Young, are an exclusive, synergistic blend of 49 organic grasses, grains, and green vegetables. This nutrient-rich, alkaline formula helps to gently pull the blood and tissue balance from an acid base to an increasingly healthy alkaline state.

I think in a pinch one could eat cup and half of steamed Broccoli, Spinach, or Brussel Spouts with a tbs blend of EVVO, fresh garlic, Salmon or egg for protein.

It has healing properties

False. More specifically, mormonism falsehood.

Just a simple question.

Was Jesus a descendant from the polygamous marriage between David and Bathsheeba?

Yes or no?

Then you are a better translator than most of us. I took her words at face value with no imposed interpretation.

No, you misinterpreted her statement. She has stated that what she meant was exactly what I interpreted it to mean, i.e., that Jesus was descended from people who were engaged in polygamy.

And her statement, like your own, was incorrect.

The question again: Was Jesus descended from the polygamous marriage of David and Bathsheeba?

Yes or No?
