A cresent and hammer would be more appropriate for the current bunch of surrender monkey marxists.
That picture is good ... and it must be from an old magazine.

Great article.
BTW, isn’t it true that with responsibility comes AUTHORITY? The guy who pays the bills calls the shots, right? That’s a big part of why Dad has traditionally been the boss of the family, and I wonder if it doesn’t work the same way at the national level.
Consider: at the end of the day, who will have more influence — the one-percenter who’s footing the bill for the politicians’ favorite programs or the 40% guy who doesn’t put a dime towards the country’s bottom line?
Following this logic, the natural consequences of heavy progressive taxation should be the concentration of authority in the hands of the rich minority, an increased tendency towards oligarchy, and a weakening of the ideal of shared responsibility. Talk about ironic blowback, huh? Especially since heavy progressive taxation is one of liberaldom’s favorite Big Ideas, promoted by them for the benefit of “the many”.
I don’t know if this is how things work out in practice, but I put the idea forward for FReeper consideration.
Amen, amen and amen!
The, whose name I can’t spell, said over a hundred years ago that our form of government would fail just as soon as the electorate learned they could vote themselves benefits from the public coffers. We are in the process of trading those coffers for coffins!
I don’t think it will ever get better. I fear it’s current track will continue until somewhere down the line a straw breaks the camel’s back and society collapses on itself.
