The government has no business interfering with polygamy or polyandry practiced by consenting adults. That’s a matter of basic freedom, and to some people, of religious belief. However, what goes on in these fundamentalist Mormon cults has nothing to do with adults freely choosing to live in polygamous or polyandrous relationships. It has everything to do with adult men using religion as an excuse for raping adolescent girls. Let’s not confuse the two issues just because the sicko rapist men of this “church” say we should.

Agreed.

I've seen no evidence of that in this case. But if it's true then these guys belong UNDER the prison.

Destruction of the divine institution of marriage and family is not a matter of basic freedom. The family is a building block of society and the nation. Legitimate authority exists within the family and when it becomes corrupt, higher authority may be called to intervene. In this case, the counterfeit families being produced are still answerable to the higher authority of national government via that chain of command, beginning with county and state government.

Until the issue s resolved, the entire community may be arrested and their freedoms removed awaiting due process.
