Hillary's Waterloo
Primetime Politics ^ | April 4, 2008 | Charles Krauthammer

Hillary Clinton met her Waterloo at Tuzla. She’d been regaling audiences with tales of a dangerous landing under sniper fire in Tuzla 12 years ago and then running for cover. None of this occurred. When CBS provided the tape, she was forced to admit to “a misstatement.”

Now, confabulation is a fairly common psychological phenomenon. We all have internalized childhood stories so oft repeated by elders that we come to falsely “remember” the actual experience. Adult memories are less susceptible to such unconscious inventions, but past experiences embellished over time by repeated recounting can reach the point where we actually believe the elaborate trappings of our own retellings.

Clinton’s problem, however, is that a corkscrew landing under sniper fire is the kind of thing that is hard to forget and harder still for memory to invent. This is confabulation on a pathological scale.

A Clintonian scale. And that’s the problem. Barack Obama has been gaining on Hillary in part because Tuzla reminds Democrats what they had largely succeeded in banishing from consciousness: the Clintons’ rather arm’s-length relationship with truth. The great New York Times columnist William Safire once called Hillary Clinton “a congenital liar” and made it stick. And that was more than a decade before snipergate.

Actually, McCain makes himself look like TR. A hero of the Spanish American war, Teddy Roosevelt was a Progressive who split the Republican party. For starters, read more at the white house website.

IMHO, McCain is also a "Rough Rider" - over the 1st Amendment. (That would be "Campaign Finance Reform")

Bottom line for HRC and BO is they'll get their self-inflicted lies and odious behavior doused with the DBM-BRAND of stink control. Just like Kerry's traitorous actions in Paris were fumigated and swept aside... these two Marxists will walk away to play on forever.

When the gallows are again erected for traitors... I pray the DBM is equally held accountable.

Do we have to suffer Obama just to be rid of a hilary?

The significant portion of this piece is the observation that the media is back in the tank for BHO.

I interpret that as meaning the media has decided that Wright is the only blemish they expect to allow to occur, and that they have officially declared it a finished non-story.

Have anyone else noticed that only when something unpleasant happens with a Democrat do we hear the incessant refrain “it’s time to move on”?

Add Mark Steyn and you have the three best writers. But in my opinion, Steyn is the absolute best.

CBS provided the video. They are unabashedly blatant in their support for B. Hussein Osama-Obama.

Wise to check up on the use of diazepam, methohexital, midazolam, and combinations of these drugs with narcotics in the practice of dentistry (and facelifts/reconstruction).

Hillary has had 100% crowing/capping of every tooth in her head. She's obviously had a couple of facelifts. More than likely she uses botos (just recently reported to be able to travel to the brain). It's inescapable that she's had contact with many powerful drugs.

In the hands of a clever, if unethical, practitioner the drugs named above can be used to revise, delete, or create memories.

Hillary may be our "Manchurian Candidate"!

If we do it in the right order, we can be rid of both. First the lying Clintons, then Obama. If Hillary gets the nomination, she will move to the center like Bill did and have a better chance in the general. If Obama gets the nomination, the differences between him and McCain on national security and the economy will be substantial.

Great call! I’ve never heard wit and references like that before...well except maybe for Dennis Miller.
