My father always says that when dealing with these types, if he was judge. After they were brought in, he would simply whisper in the security’s ear, “Give them the number 1”, and they would be lead away and nobody would hear from them ever again.

I follow what you are saying, exactly. When a society worries a terrorist didn’t get his manual for terror handed to him properly, the number one method is not likely to happen.
IF it is found that these men were not mere idiots playing Jihad and actually had a viable explosive, then, if found guilty, they should get a bullet in the head. This kind of ideology must be exterminated. Any society playing “civilized society” or “moral superiority” games with these people is a society playing with fire and ultimately, their own destruction.
