Absolut is at their current price point because no one will pay more. Do you think they passed up a higher price point? They WANT to be Grey Goose, they just can't get there. Trust me, I talk to their reps. They used to be a Super-Premium, now they are a Premium. They, along with Stoli, have been replaced. They did not migrate down the spectrum voluntarily. Explaining simple economics to idiot socialists is tiresome.
Well, with the free publicity they are now going to get from the right wing gasbags, they may get back to super premium, because if there is one thing that sells a product is to have the right wing gas bags(who are worshipped by 10% of the American market) to go on a tear about this and raise awareness of the other 90% of the market(those who don't worship the gas bags such as Hannity and Beck).
