The shading is good. In my opinion, the perspective and composition are clunky, especially the mountain peaks. And I agree that, if he couldn’t write letters all the same size, at least, he should have used a stencil!
As I said, it’s not a landscape drawing. It’s a high-school-kid-average symbolic drawing, showing okay technique in some parts. The “zero” grade is silly, though - bound to attract unwelcome attention. Why not just give him a C?
