Police: Suspicious Package Report False
TEXAS CITY — A report of a suspicious package at the port turned out to be false, police said Thursday.
A man in a pickup pulled to a guard shack shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday at 605 Dock Road and insinuated he had a suspicious package in the vehicle, police said.
Authorities shut down the immediate area, but police said the incident was unfounded. Police charged the man with filing a false report.
