IOC to Beijing: Open Internet during Olympics

The Internet must be open during the Beijing Olympics.

That was the message a top-ranking International Olympic Committee official delivered Tuesday to Beijing organizers during the first of three days of meetings — the last official sessions between IOC inspectors and the Chinese hosts before the games begin in just over four months.

Looks like all sorts of unanticipated complications are developing having the Olympics staged in a closed, imperialist, communist society. Not surprising.

Someone should tell Google. They maintain separate censored search results for those using Google’s Chinese site.

Oh, the Chinese will absolutely agree to this.

Then have connection problems the entire time the games are running.

I wonder if Google & Yahoo will turn in folks for “unauthorized searches” during the Olympics, too. Disgusting hypocrites.
