When are we pulling out of Japan, Korea and Germany? They are quagmires of the very worst kind, because the lack of significant US casualties since 1946, or major confrontations since 1963 have established a precedent for future such quagmires, such as Iraq. Will we lose another generation of US service men and women to what passes for night life and leisure entertainment in the Iraq of the future? Will there one day be a jubilant tearing down of the green zone demarcations? Forbid it All-—ty A—ah! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me defeat or give me surrender!

Correction. with regards to Korea, no casualties since 1958 (?), or confrontations since...whenever they boarded that US Navy vessel and tortured the crew.
