organizers claimed 2 million people took part and Sydney's emissions of greenhouse gases were reduced by 10% during that hour

Sydney's population is about 4.3 million. Nearly half participated???? I don't think so.

Greenhouse gases were reduced by 10%??? What did they do, instantly turn of the power plants and turn them back on? Generators can't ramp up and down that fast.

I smell carbon emissions!!!
