As I think about the future of our nation I cant help but remember the words of one of our founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson: The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government. Words that now seem lost.

Rest in peace, Terri. We who are still here will keep fighting.

Today is the third anniversary of Terri's death; whatever your personal beliefs on the subject, I would ask that, at least today, you refrain from negative comments and respect the fact that many of us have very strong feelings about what was done to her. Thanks and God Bless

I am still stunned at what happened to Terri and will never allow a loved one to stay hospitalized in Florida, a death state. It was a crime.

McCain said the following: I understand the frustrations a lot of Republicans feel. Were not representing their hopes and dreams and aspirations. We worry about Ms. Schiavo before we worry about balancing the budget. I didn't know that he said that. I am appalled.

Two out of three. Obama even played a crucial role in killing the Born Alive Act here in Illinois when he was a state senator.

Just when I think I just might hold my nose and vote for the old fart, McCain opens his yap and spews. Disgusting statement from a small, sad man.

Don-o, I know he's an old jerk, but there are two reasons you should vote for him:
1. He's pro-life, the other two are the hardest of hardcore pro-aborts.
2. Your son--and mine--deserves to have a C-in-C who is the real deal, not a brainless twit.

I think of two episodes of the last ten years or so:
1) Federal marshalls hold off the family of 6-year old Elian Gonzales at gunpoint so they can ship him off to communist Cuba.
2) The government stands by and allows Terri Schiavo to be dehydrated until dead.
—And I wonder if we have lost our soul.

Maybe as president they could explain why my parents were told by the armed police guarding Terri that if either of them tried to give her ice for her bleeding lips they would be arrested immediately.
Just ask McCain. Do this to a woman in Florida, it’s all about the “rule of law.” Try it with a terrorist at Gitmo, well, that’s “torture.”

When Jeb Bush went on national TV and whined about his hands being tied in terms of being able to help Terri( outside of legal appeals), I knew then that his political career was finished. What a coward.
When Congress cleared its throat to say something meaningful and forceful while Terri's murder was taking place, and nothing came out but platitudes, I knew then that the Republicans would lose in 2006.
