The first guy's right. I still remember when Oregon was a conservative, solid red state. But hippies started moving in around 1969. And it has been downhill ever since.

Appears we are BOTH right. 1969 was decades ago. And the same thing has happened to my state, California. A once beautifully conservative and premier state model, turned into a liberal dung heap over the same time span. It is a disease which now infects the entire LEFT COAST.
