No, he has already done that. My point is that so far, he is not doing anything to keep his promise. Voting for the Sessions amendment (above) would have been a good sign.

Also, since he made the CPAC promise, he has been telling Republicans to be careful not to be too tough on immigration.

It's hard to vote for someone who is not interested in keeping his promises.

I think McCain could unite the GOP (somewhat) if he would only make the effort.

Wow! That is quite a dream you have there. He has nearly singlehandedly torn the GOP apart over the past 10 years or so.

Not likely. More likely that FR's leadership wanted all conservatives to see how we are held in contempt by RINOs/party-before-country folk; and allow us all an opportunity to speak up about that contempt for us.
