I am not a warrior, he says, but who is? I have never learned to fight for my freedom. I was only good at enjoying it.
This will be the liberals lament.
My mother, one of the great generation, often grieves at how the people nowadays think their freedom is an entitlement that just fell out out of the sky. People had to die for it.
Thank God California, New Zeland and Australia make good wines since the French and Italian vineyards will soon be scorched so as not to produce evil spirits. Hell I was just acquiring a taste for good single malts too.
I've heard the same from my parents, uncles and aunts. I remember my grandmother really getting wound-up on this topic a few times; understandable from someone who was a child whose father died in WWI, then watched her own sons march off to save France once again.
This lesson is one that, unfortunately, must be re-learned the hard way every few generations. School is now in session.

Too many of them don’t even realize the meaning of the word! That is why I have the tagline I have. If people understood what freedom is we would not have any of the three stooges we currently have fighting for the top office. They would all have been run out on a rail by now.
