Won’t argue that point. Sometimes the most loving thing the Lord does is shake us up, deprive us of our worldly treasures, and help us see how misguided we have been. And it happens often with entire civilizations which need shaking up, not just individuals or families.
I think God just does what God does, and we humans try to make sense out of it...that’s why we all act relative to our beliefs.
