S. Korean military is probably ready.

S. Korean gov. just wants to see how far N. Koreans will push the envelope this time around.

All indications point to the possibility of limited military clash at some point.

It would be interesting to see how China would react. China cannot afford to let this situation deteriorate. China has Tibet problem at hand. If N. Korean problem is added to the mix, it would have its hands full.

” China cannot afford to let this situation deteriorate. “

I’ve felt for some time, now, that the notion that China exerts some kind of ‘parental control’ over NK is just a bit glib....

I’d imagine that China is absolutely terrified that Kimmie will do something insane to drag them into a war that would be ‘bad for business’.....

I'm curious if you think the North Koreans are doing this because of the Beijing Olympics this summer? Are they raising the bar and rattling the saber to gain world attention (again)?

It's a real shame that we can't show the average North Korean how far behind the rest of the world they are and what they have, i.e., Kim Jong Il and his minions, starvation, and decades of brainwashing, really aren't worth fighting for.....

If there's military action on the Korean peninsula between now and August it is hard to imagine that the Beijing Olympics will be unaffected. This is precisely what the Chicoms don't want.
