I have neighbors ask me all the time every summer why I just don’t hire someone to mow my lawn. I usually just say that a) it’s good exercise and b) I’m not sure that everyone walking through my lawn will be an American. And on top of it - they never speak English.
Last gardener I had was Mexican. He charged me $60 for two visits a month. One day I was home sick when he arrived. First thing he did was take a break. After his break he spent all of 15 minutes mowing both front and back and was gone. It was then I realized I was paying him $120 an hour to mow my lawns. I let him go that week, bought a mower and have done it myself ever since.
