Are we really “allies” with a country that allows this? While groups like Amnesty International bash the USA for allowing murderers to be put to death (peacefully and painlessly), where are they in cases like this which are FAR more common than executions in the US?
Our foreign policy was corrupted by leftist and communists a long time ago. We have let “real politik” (mis)guide us for nearly a century because we see ourselves as an empire, and need bases around the world to protect our “interests” (read oil, oil routes, corporate investments). So we keep making deals with devils for the short term, hoping we can clean it up later.
