I am so glad you wrote that. The term “baby bump” is right up there with “baby mama” and “my bad.” The continual dumbing down of America continues....
I’ve heard the phrase ‘baby bump’ since I was a kid, and that’s about 35+ years ago! (speaking as a mom-to-be with 2 baby bumps at this time!) ;-)
I think when you see the tabloids using the phrase it just seems more ‘trashy’, but personally I don’t find anything offensive about the description itself. There IS a bump when the baby/ies start showing! ;-)
